Four Partners Move from Whiteford, Taylor & Preston LLP to Wright, Constable & Skeen, LLP

Date: September 17, 2009

Baltimore -- The managing partners of Whiteford, Taylor & Preston, LLP ("WTP") and Wright, Constable & Skeen, LLP ("WC&S") jointly announced today that four partners in WTP's Construction and Surety Practice will be leaving the firm to join WC&S. The lawyers involved in the move are Gerard P. Sunderland, George J. Bachrach, Michael A. Stover and Cynthia E. Rodgers-Waire.

"This is a win-win for both firms and for our colleagues," commented Martin T. Fletcher, Managing Partner of WTP. Howard S. Stevens, Managing Partner of WC&S, concurred, adding, "The addition of these four partners and colleagues will complement WC&S' existing construction practice, as well as other areas of practice."

Mr. Bachrach commented, "It's difficult to make a change like this, and I have only good things to say about my colleagues at Whiteford. But when we looked at the conflicts issues and economic needs of our practice, it became clear that moving to WC&S presented some solutions. We expect that this move will benefit both firms, and their clients."

"George, Jerry, Mike and Cindy are terrific lawyers and good friends, and will be missed at WTP. We wish them well at WC&S," Mr. Fletcher concluded.
