Law360: Whiteford Hires Lazare Potter Partners in NYC

East Coast firm Whiteford Taylor & Preston LLP announced Thursday that it has added six New York City attorneys from business law firm Lazare Potter Glazer & Moyle LLP ahead of an office relocation that it calls "part of the firm's continued growth in the market."

Whiteford's newest partners are David E. Potter, a trial lawyer and former prosecutor who advises on business and employment matters; Johannes K. Gäbel, a corporate lawyer qualified to practice in Germany and New York who advises European and U.S. clients on cross-border acquisitions and financings; and James F. Moyle, an adviser on commercial and securities litigation, regulatory investigations and employment matters and arbitrations.

Also joining the firm are Jaipat Singh Jain, a transactions lawyer focused on U.S.-India business; Anna Pia D. Felix, a commercial litigator with additional expertise in regulatory matters; and Jacob Englander, a former assistant city corporation counsel focused on commercial litigation and employment law.
