Mr. Fox has practiced law for more than twenty years, representing community associations, developers and creditors in matters involving governance, bankruptcy and land use. He advises condominium and homeowners’ associations and commercial associations on legal issues affecting daily operations, long term planning, and financial stability. He represents clients throughout Virginia, Washington, D.C., Maryland, and West Virginia.
 
Mr. Fox’s community association practice includes advising boards on document revision, covenant and rule enforcement, declarant transition, and compliance with federal and state law. He has handled disputes involving easements, landscaping, open space, governmental takings, use of recreational facilities, and zoning matters on neighboring properties. He also regularly assists associations during highly charged board meetings and enforcement proceedings.
 
In bankruptcy matters, Mr. Fox represents associations and other creditors when owners or business entities seek bankruptcy protection. His experience includes ensuring creditors receive all amounts recoverable under the Bankruptcy Code, collecting assessments that accrue during bankruptcy, and seeking relief from the automatic stay to enforce post petition obligations.
 
Before entering private practice, Mr. Fox worked in municipal government in several capacities involving zoning, land use, and urban forestry. He served as City Arborist for Chesapeake, Virginia, Landscape Program Coordinator for the City of Norfolk Waterfront Developments, and Zoning Administrator for the City of Suffolk.
