Biography
BIOGRAPHY
Ms. Rukstalis is an Associate in the firm’s Community Associations practice.  She represents condominium unit owner associations, homeowner associations, and housing cooperative entities.

She previously served as a judicial intern in the Office of the Chief Staff Attorney on the Supreme Court of Virginia. While in law school, Ms. Rukstalis was a Note Editor on the Washington and Lee University Journal of Civil Rights and Social Justice (JCRSJ), a member of Omicron Delta Kappa (the National Leadership Honor Society), and the Law Class of 2023 Representative on the Executive Committee of Washington and Lee University.

Client Alert: 2025 Virginia Legislative Updates for Common Interest Communities

The Virginia General Assembly approved a number of bills during its 2025 legislative session. Some of the bills impact, directly or indirectly, common interest communities. The Governor of Virginia signed the following bills into law and the new laws take effect on July 1, 2025, unless otherwise noted. We have outlined the legislative actions taken by the Virginia General Assembly that we believe most directly affect both homeowners and condominium associations.
