Ms. Remy has tried dozens of cases to verdict in courts in Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia. She represents companies of all sizes – from Fortune 100 to small start-ups – and individual C-level executives, owners, and partners. Her expertise is commercial and business litigation, such as shareholder disputes, contract claims, restrictive covenants/trade secrets, dissolution-related disputes, real estate matters, employment litigation, and all types of tort claims. She has argued numerous times before the Fourth Circuit, the Virginia Supreme Court, the Virginia Court of Appeals, the Maryland Court of Appeals and the Appellate Court of Maryland. She is often brought in by other lawyers to consult on litigation and trial strategy in complex cases.

  • Obtained a jury verdict in employment matter for fraud and received $350,000 in punitive damages, the statutory cap.
  • Obtained dismissal of claims against former employee for breach of fiduciary duty, tortious interference with contract, violations of the Virginia Trade Secrets Act, and conspiracy.
  • Obtained dismissal of a claim against a creditor challenging the validity of the creditor’s mortgage.
  • Successfully represented partners seeking to have the court confirm that they were the managing partners of the partnership.
  • Regularly handles litigation involving non-competition and non-solicitation agreements and routinely advises clients regarding the enforceability and parameters of non-competition and non-solicitation agreements.
  • Mediated and negotiated resolution of several contract claims between government contractors.
  • Obtained dismissal of conspiracy, defamation, and malicious prosecution action lodged against defendant who reported alleged crimes to a military tribunal.
