Whiteford Welcomes Bond Counsel Robert Poyer in New York

With more than two decades of experience in public finance, banking and finance, and municipal law, Mr. Poyer handles finance matters of all sizes and levels of complexity. His practice encompasses a wide variety of financing transactions, including public finance, project finance, and real estate finance. As bond counsel, he frequently represents municipalities, districts, public benefit corporations, and other issuers in connection with tax-exempt and taxable bond issues. He regularly serves as bank and borrower counsel on complex financing transactions, including syndications, participations and commercial mortgage-backed securitizations. His industry experience is wide-ranging and spans hospitality, retail, information technology, life sciences, healthcare, long-term care, and multi-family housing (including low-income housing tax credits). Beyond his finance practice, Mr. Poyer regularly advises companies, including start-ups and emerging businesses, on a host of business and corporate issues.
